The three-island nation of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique is one of the most southerly of the Windward Islands located in the Eastern Caribbean between St. Vincent & the Grenadines to the north and Trinidad and Tobago to the south. Grenada, an independent nation, which is part of the British Commonwealth, is affectionately referred to as the Spice Island because of an abundance of locally grown spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger.

Daily temperatures range from 24˚C - 30˚C (75˚F - 87˚F) moderated by the cooling trade winds.  Nights are cooler and readings are lower in higher elevations.  January to May is considered the dry season, as opposed to the remainder of the year when brief showers may occur.

Mona monkeys live in the treetops in Grand Etang National Park, while humpback whales are frequently sighted off Grenada from January to March. Grand Anse Beach is a stunning white coral sand beach but there are also 9 other black volcanic beaches in Grenada. Spectacular waterfalls, museums, historical landmarks and open-air markets add to Grenada’s thriving tourism and culture.  Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip five miles from the capital of St. George’s.
