Bonaire is considered part of the ABC islands along with Curaçao and Aruba, and is most noted for its world-class SCUBA diving. The official languages are Dutch, Papiamentu and English but Spanish is also widely spoken on the island. Bonaire has a tropical desert-like climate with average temperatures around 82°F and 22 inches of annual rainfall. It is conveniently located out of the hurricane belt making it an ideal year round destination.
